ABOUT BUSINESS NSW
Business NSW is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that helps businesses across New South Wales start, operate and grow. Founded through the Sydney Chamber of Commerce in 1826, it celebrated 200 years of business advocacy in 2026.
It represents enterprises of every size, from sole traders and startups to major employers. Through research, surveys and consultation, Business NSW develops evidence-based policies and advocates to local, state and federal governments. Its priorities include infrastructure, taxation, regulation, workforce skills, workplace relations, innovation and regional development.
Members receive practical support, including workplace advice, HR resources, legal discounts, cybersecurity training, tender and grant assistance, leadership development and business tools. The organisation also runs workshops, webinars, networking events and the Business Awards.
Working with more than 200 local chambers, it connects metropolitan and regional businesses. By combining advocacy, expertise and commercial support, Business NSW helps individual enterprises overcome immediate challenges while promoting a more productive, competitive and resilient state economy for businesses and local communities alike.
